How should I wash my matte satin piece?
To preserve the matte finish and delicate weave, we recommend a gentle hand wash in cool water with a mild, pH-neutral detergent. If you prefer a machine wash, please use a laundry mesh bag and select a delicate or hand-wash cycle with a low spin speed.
Does the fabric require heavy ironing?
No. The textile is engineered for minimal ironing. We recommend hanging the shawl or square immediately after wear; most natural movement lines will smooth out on their own.
Can I use a steamer on this material?
Yes. A handheld garment steamer is the preferred method for refreshing the fabric and maintaining its flowy drape. If you must use an iron, please use the sensible heat setting until you found the one that's best for smoothing out any crinkle.
Will the colours fade over time?
Our earthy tones are selected for their depth and endurance. While no fabric is immune to the passage of time, these pieces are designed to last well with proper care. To maintain their original hue, we recommend avoiding bleach and keeping them away from harsh chemical treatments.
How should I dry my shawl in a tropical climate?
In Malaysia, the afternoon sun can be quite intense. While you can dry your pieces outdoors, we recommend turning them inside out to protect the matte finish from direct UV exposure. For the best results, hang them in a breezy, shaded area or during the softer morning light to keep the fibres supple and the colours intact.
